Hey all travellers!
Im gonna spend Christmas and New year at a hostel in Kings Cross, mostly cuz it was the cheapest one I could find and many hostels in other areas are already fullbooked.
So my question is;
Is King Cross really that bad? I've heared lots of stories about it, that it's full of drugs and weird people.
True or False?

Reply to this Hey, Kings Cross is fine, it can get a little messy at times, but is full of bars and is close to most transport and attractions etc...
I stayed at the travellers rest hostel last time i was there an it was great. The accept heaps of discount cards and have a sister hostel in the Great Aussie Backpackers -
But you should alright - it is going to be a massive party anyway so just have fun
cheers Reply to this The cross is very tame compared to what it used to be. Sure you get your weirdo's and you want to be aware of your general safety but otherwise it's a great fun place to visit.
Reply to this Im glad to hear! I must admitt I got a bit spooked when people advised me not to stay there. But hey, "smaken är som baken" as we say here in Sweden. We don't all think the same!
