A great hostal overlooked by the main travel guides (ex. Rough Guide) since it's relatively new. It was definitely one of the highlights of my last travel to Bolivia: Hostal Gobernador...
I discovered an awesome new hostal in Sucre on my last trip to Bolivia - it's called Hostal Gobernador. A buddy of mine recommended it to me, and I'm glad he did, because it wasn't listed in my copy of Rough Guide to Bolivia.
The city itself was totally worth the trip. Sucre - mostly a university city - really has a character of its own, compared to other Bolivian cities. On top of the dinosaur footprints and the white colonial architecture, I stayed at Hostal Gobernador and was really pleased. I thought I'd share the info, since it can be hard to find a decent Hostal these days...
The service was really fantastic, with very clean and elegant furniture. Its location was really central, near one of the plazas, and near great ice cream and food. Great looking too - it made for some great pictures...

Reply to this I guess I should've mentioned that you can email the hostal if you want to make a reservation outside of the country, because that's what my buddy did. Just click on the small link at the bottom left of their website that says "contáctenos".
Although, when I went, I didn't make any reservation - I just walked in the same day, and there was no problem.
