Do I need to buy an UBS charger for my ipod or can I charge it at an internet point?

Hi,

I decided to take my ipod with me to accompany me in my travels. I was wondering if you can charge it at an internet point or if I need to buy an UBS charger? And in case I buy it, do cheap hostels have sockets?

Thanks

You will find most...if not all....hostels have sockets for you to charge stuff. I don't have an ipod so i am not totally familiar with how you charge them but i do recall many of my friends plugging their ipods into computers while in internet cafes and on the hostel computers. I am not sure if that is because they did not bring a charger or if it was just more convenient. Either way, you are probably a bit more restricted without a charger but it is doable since there are computers everywhere. Just depends on how long it takes to charge I guess. Reply to this

I should add....if you do bring a charger, make sure you bring a plug-in adapter since the sockets vary around South America. Reply to this

Thank you Kathy. Since the ubs charger costs almost as much as my ipod I think I will try to charge it in internet cafes and hostels computers. Reply to this
