What types of items are expensive in Buenos Aires to buy on a regular basis? I'm going for 5 months. I am trying to figure out what to pack and what to buy when i get down there.

I've been told that curling irons and flat irons etc. should be bought when in AR. true?

Any packing suggestions? I have a month until I leave and I need to start getting organized.

probably cause of the different voltage requirements... maybe cheap converters cant handle the high-voltage, but im guessing.
