I've just seen Benjamin Button and have to agree with P05 - I thought it was a great film!! I enjoyed Seven Pounds too though.

A good film that is coming out is Nothing But the Truth with Kate Beckinsale in. It's a thriller about a journalist in US uncovering a CIA operative. Its based on a true story but I'm not sure how much of it is actually the truth!! Its a good film though and not like the typical CIA thriller stories - its worth checking out Reply to this

Saw Taken and Wolverine over the weekend. Went to the drive-in, the only way to see a movie, $6.00 to see them both and I could talk to the people around me during the movies.

Both movies were really great. Wolverine go to the origins of super hero. It explains a great deal about him and why he is the way he is. There were a few other super heroes in it. Dead Zone shows up at the end.

Taken made me think. At 17 I was in France alone.... Reply to this

I saw 'The Story of Concern' last time I was in Dublin.

It is about a 40 year old charity that brings aid to places with famines and other disasters around the world. I was astonished by the situations they deal with. I never knew they take such risks with their safety to help peolple. They did things like go to Rowanda during the genocide. They said that was the most harrowing time of all for them. Reply to this

I also saw 'Bled Number One' and 'Mark of an Angel' while I was in Dublin too.

It is always difficult to describe what those types of films are about, because the actual story is the sub theme while the philosophical, psychological and socialogical twists are like the main themes but difficult to describe.

I saw these movies at the Irish Film Insitute in Temple Bar, Dublin in case anyone going to Dublin is interested in checking it out. If you are not interested in these types of films it is still a good place to hang out because they serve nice food and there is a cafe and bar. Reply to this

Star trek is pretty good. though i thought it felt like a pirates of the carribean in space. there is the same kind of quick quips and one liners with enough references for the trekkies, but it is a fast paced and very enjoyable film. Reply to this

Star Trek was originally sold to the producers as a western in space. So to say Pirates of the Carribean in space is funny. Reply to this

I just move to a new house and there weren't any satellite or cable service just yet so I was stuck with a few DVDs. Here are what I have seen this past 3 days.

Paranormal Activities - its not that scary but when you are about to sleep, yah kinda get to think of it and it scares me
Harry Potter - didn't really fancy watching it, only for the nephews so I couldn't comment on it
UP - not as good as how it seemed in its trailer
Surrogate - didn't really enjoyed it
Jennifer's body - 😉

I saw a bunch of movies, in the Dublin last weekend. A German film week was on, so most of the movies I say were set in Germany.

One was about the day the Berlin wall came down. Another was an interview with a Jewish woman who had a baby in Auswitz. Reply to this

A few days back i saw the movie 'Pursuit of Happiness'. There is also a written version available or we may say the book.

I would like to admit that this is one of the best movies I have seen in my life so far. I am touched.

If you have not seen it so far and like to see something close to life, please do spare some time and wathc the movie. its simply great. Reply to this
