As a traveller, how do you cope with having to move on if you fall in love with somebody on your journey?
It must happen so often that you form attachments whilst travelling. I am in love with a man who has to leave the country because his visa has expired. I know I have to let him go and yet I know we have something that is very rare and beautiful.
Any words of wisdom would be gratefully received. It's not the easiest of times at the moment.
Thank you for reading.

Reply to this One positive thing that'll you'll always have is that the break up wasn't anything to do with each other, circumstances intervined.
For now - give it some time - and then, if you both still feel the same - start moving mountains.
Reply to this I met a wonderful English guy a few years ago, in a pub one night who was travelling round. The next day he basically moved in with me for his last 2 weeks in the country as he had Visa problems & wasn't allowed to stay anyway. It was very sad saying goodbye & I thought about him for a long time as we really hit it off & I was gutted he had to go... Just try & have faith in life, love & fate! If it was meant to be, it WILL happen somehow, even if it's at a later date. Good luck. Julie
Reply to this ...or of course you could just take him or her with you, realize we live once, and just go with it! Why not? We did: www.christinash.com (Asia, Europe)
