places to eat, drink and.. sleep, if the need arises:) lol
Benito2k, yes BA is a lot like a European city. It is quite modern and coming from Bolivia it is a culture shock. 😉 It is a fantastic vibrant city with many things to do and you don't have anything to worry about being English. Argentinians are very friendly and welcoming people. 😊
Reply to this That's a relief, although they might have to put up with me moaning about Maradona's 'Hand of God'! ;-)
Reply to this Thank you to everyone who gave such great suggestions! I'm headed to Buenos Aires in a couple weeks and I'm really glad that there are so many good suggestions on here of places to go and things to see 😊
Reply to this we still remember that goal...and the second was the most beautifull of all times.
Reply to this I'm British and had an absolutely wonderful time in Buenos Aires last year - a genuinely great city with a lovely vibe! I stayed at Maison Dandi Royale which had a Tango dancing school in the basement, so had plenty of local flavour and nearby was the oldest bar in the city, which quickly became my favourite watering hole! No problems at all whatsoever with locals.
Reply to this This might be a silly question...but I got a nice Boca Juniors t-shirt for Christmas, which I hoped to wear when I go out to Argentina this year. Is it risky to wear a Boca shirt in Buenos Aires? Am I likely to be the subject of attention from, say, River supporters if spotted?
