Hiya 😊
We are planning on visiting most of the usual places, machu picchu, puno, lima, nazca lines, and are hopefully going to head to the amazon. We are hoping to stay in hostels, and eat the usual three meals a day with nothing too extravagant, and are going to travel by bus mostly... any help would be so much appreciated!! THANKYOU!!!

you can get by with food and hostels, if you stay cheapy, for roughly 25$ US a day, but the main issue is you need to plan out all the travling expenses from city to city, which can be diffiuclt due to no published prices and the amount for the treks and tourist sites you want to see, but 25 a day for food and lodging should suffice Reply to this

$25 a day is a good estimate for the basics including some travel but some things are going to put your budget up quite a bit. Nazca flights can be anything from $35 to $70 depending on length and time of year. Machu Picchu is obviously going to be expensive as well. Lima is pricier than other parts when it comes to hostels and food. To give you an idea of travel it works out very roughly as between $1-$2 per hour on bus trips. Reply to this

anothing thing is the booking of the trip to machu picchu, when i went two years ago you had to book a year in advance, and i imagine demand has only gone up, but their are other routes to take to get to machu picchu, shop around for booking prices, this can be done online i believe but we did it in cuzco, many shops charge different prices , but then they combine thier reservations into one group, the group i traveled with all paid different prices but we had the same tour guide adn same exact trip, i suggust shopping around and don't wear nice clothes when you do it, nice clothes means you have a nice wallet.
