hey.... i am going to peru in june till mid july and i was wondering what kind of cloth i should bring cause i heard it could get pretty could in the night a hot during day??? is that true? i will travel the tourist route from lima - arequipa -cuzco and back to lima....

Reply to this Best thing to do is bring layers. I found Lima very hot and humid but Cusco (due to altitude) can get quite cold especially at night. Cusco I generally wore jeans and top with a jumper/jacket for when it got cold. It can get very hot on buses on the coast especially if you head north so light linen trousers or crops are a good idea and take up very little packing space.
Reply to this I second the 'layers' suggestion.
The light linen trousers are particularly good for hiking - you don't want to be doing that in jeans. If you can get the trousers which zip off at the knee, even better.
Reply to this bring a good pair of boots if you're doing any hiking in Cusco or Arequipa. I saw lots of people hiking in trainers -it can be dangerous without boots on bad trails or in bad weather.
