I need a hotel in Easter Island.. NON touristy..cool,hip..just plain different.. ANy ideas..links?
I am taking that adventure of a lifetime.. Chile and Peru..i have my Machu Pichu leg all set,but Information on Easter Island is sketchy. Any one have a link,or stayed or heard of hotels,cabins whatever in Easter Island>?
Hotels,food,guide..what to do.. what to miss.. best sunset..sunrise etc etc.. any and all info would be great thanks..

Reply to this If you want a dream, Explora just opened one... I think it's called Explora by Mike Rapa Nui...but it's bloody expensive...had friends who went there, seems hostels are another choice...
Reply to this We stayed at a lovely campsite on Easter Island, called Mihinoa - http://www.mihinoa.com. It's on the edge of Hanga Roa (the only town), and overlooks the ocean. Sunsets are perfect here. There's pictures of it on my Easter Island blog if you want to see more. Tents are already set up in the garden there, you have the use of a kitchen, and it's far cheaper than anywhere else on the island.
Reply to this Anakena beach on Easter Island is well worth a visit. Hire a moped and head over there for the day with a picnic! Oh, and the water is warm there. Have fun!
