Calafate is on the edge of Patagonia some two and half thousand klms south from Buenos Aires. It is the gateway to the Los Glaciares National Park and the mighty Perito Moreno glacier. It gets better every day ...
...again OMG. More amazing than I thought ..... enjoy enjoy enjoy!!! We have had very very very strong winds here too for the last week - treees down, houses down and drop in temps to around 15ยบ - still warm for winter. No rain though - hope it doesn't ruin spring. Hugs to alan for his trip ...... hope he takes pics though - need a pic of his boat/ship for something I have planned here - if you can oersuade him to send them ---love and hugs and good travelling xxx

Jealous!!
This all looks great - really jealous!! Was dreaming this morning of the travelling I must do soon - and then came to the computer to find these splendid photos - especially the glaciers!! We have our own glaciers here - yes even snow in Christchurch!!! xxx

...that the pix you say don't do justice are beautiful. How much more beautiful it must be in reality is the amazing thing. hope you enjoyed the 'tripette' and Alan is safely round the Horn (reminds me of the old radio show 'round the horn' Hmmmm. dates me innit!
