The Eating Injury Nat contracted Salmonella from eating - source unknown
Before we came away travelling, a number of our family and friends expressed concern about us coming to harm in south america. Luckily, everyone we have met have been very warm, friendly and welcoming. That is not to say, however, that we have not come to some harm....

First there was Ros and her "rucksack injury" - a huge 3 week bruise she got from putting her rucksack on.

Then there was Sophie´s "Flip flop injury" - an open wound splitting her feet in half due to overuse of her havanas.

As a result we decided to create a seperate section to record our travelling wounds.......

Aylish´s random red, swollen, painful ankles injury. Is it oddly positioned sunburn? Is it a friction burn from gripping onto a horse with no reigns and one stirrup? Is it a mysterious ankle disease? Any ideas?? 19th December: We would like to thank everyone for expressing their concern about Aylish´s mysterious leg illness. Thankfully it didn´t turn out to be cellulitus (as suggested by one email) and her legs have since returned to normal. However the cause remain unknown!
