Reluctantly we tore ourselves away from Arequipa to head back up to a higher altitude to Cusco to prepare ourselves for the inca trail. Our preparation involved sleeping, eating and avoiding all risky foods/drinks and activities. We were very bored!! We were basically in limbo hanging around waiting to go. We had one day after we got back from the trail that was much more fun. We indulged ourselves with a massage and consumed all risky foods/drinks....
