Reluctantly we tore ourselves away from Arequipa to head back up to a higher altitude to Cusco to prepare ourselves for the inca trail. Our preparation involved sleeping, eating and avoiding all risky foods/drinks and activities. We were very bored!! We were basically in limbo hanging around waiting to go.
