Yea! Finally some pics of my trip to Peru and Bolivia. The program ends 4 weeks from this coming saturday, so things are getting pretty sad around here and busy...with finals coming up! That of course DOESNT stop the students from having their, pretty much, weekly protests! The first portion of this blog is from when I spent my last semester of college abroad in Valparaiso, Chile at the Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, finishing up my requirements for my dual degree in Hispanic Studies and International Affairs. The shape of this rock was formed by the Incas as a replica of their mountain

The Incas worshiped guinea pigs...here is just one example.

Llamas anyone?

You cant be in Peru and NOT see a llama....they roam around Machu Picchu

They also worshipped the condor. The body is the rock on the ground and the two large rocks on the sides are the wings.

where the Incas were able to calculate the change of seasons by a shadow that would come through.

The heart of Machu Picchu

This rock actually gives off energy...no im not crazy. We checked it out..and it definitely did! This rock is at the center of the Incan City!

At the end of the morning

Marc, Candice, Carolyn, Laura and Me at the end of our morning at Machu Picchu. Which was great cause no one was there when we were. As we left about 200+ gringos had arrived!
