For those of you who haven’t heard from me and are probably thinking “weren’t you in Asia??”, I have been living in Barranquilla, Colombia, for the last month and a half. I hadn’t seen my girlfriend Rochy since she finished her job in Leeds last June, so coming here to be with her was my first priority after getting back from my travels around Asia with Indie. Besides, I am not starting work til March, so why not chill out in the tropics for a couple months? November 24th, 1983 It was a Thursday. At 6:00AM I came into the world. I was born at the Clinica del Caribe, in Barranquilla, Colombia. I was my parents' first-born, so in a way, I would become the guinea pig. So far the experiment has turned out nicely. About Barranquilla Barranquilla is a city in the northern part of Colombia. It lies next to the Magdalena river and the Atlantic ocean. It's only 18 meters above sea level and has an average temperature of 28C (82.4F). Its nickname, "La Puerta de Oro de Colombia" (Colombia's Golden Gate) symbolizes its history for bringing new things and people into the country.
