RainbowRainbowRainbow

We had rainbows almost all the way on the flight to Puerto Nagales
Mon 2/11/08
Well we got back earlier than I thought from Torres del Paines (Blue Towers) so I did some laundry and will try to get a post in before dinner. The show last night was better than we thought so we didn’t have to walk out. It was almost hard to believe it was the same man but he was at least watchable this time. The singer was as good as the first time. The group of entertainer’s we’ve had were all leaving the ship today and we’re supposed to get a new bunch so we’ll see. We had a nice leisurely dinner since the show was beforehand. Our waiter was not there on Fri night because they said he had a headache but the real story was his roommate was sick and quarantined for 3 days so Tommy got quarantined for 24 hrs. Then we weren’t there on Sat night so he was happy to see us.
This morning I had to be in the lounge at 5:50 for my tour so it was another early morning. We didn’t dock quite on time but they had us out about 6:15 and on the way to the airport. While waiting

Here's the plane I was on for the trip
we watched one of the most beautiful sunrises I've ever seen with all kinds of colors. There were about 40 of us and we were split into 3 planes. I was on the large plane (~20 people) and it was a nice flight up to Puerto Nagales (?) for about 1 hr. We had beautiful rainbows most of the way up. Once there we loaded onto our bus for the 2 hr drive to the Park. We made several scenic stops to see the views of the Towers and Horns. There were also hundreds of some sort of llama and we also saw rheas (?) which are similar to ostriches. There weren’t too many sheep since it is shearing season but on the ride back there were some cowboys riding a big herd down the street but they were on the other side of the bus so my picture didn’t come out too well. We had lunch at a hotel in the park with a view of the Horns. There are a lot of lakes in the park of all shades of blues and turquoise. In fact that’s where the name comes from. It was very windy most of the

They ran across the road in front of the bus then tried to get under the fences to this ranch
afternoon and I gave up on the hike to the waterfall. It was blowing so hard it was very easy to trip on the rocks. A few people went all the way. Our flight back was quick since the winds were at our tail. All in all a very enjoyable day.

I'm going to try and put up some additional pictures so check there again too!

Talk to you soon.
