Got up fairly early this morning around 6am; but it wasn't really a problem because we seemed to be jet-lagged the opposite way than we should be : sleeping and getting up early. I guess it's not really jet-lag and we just end the day tired from all the activities and sleep early. Had breakfast at the hotel and hit the road a little after 7am. From then on it was almost a 2 hour drive to Brasilia, mostly on the highway. There were speed limits enforced electronically at regular intervals. The countryside was mostly large green fields and valleys. From what i gather this is cowboy and ranching country. We didn't see any cowboys riding horses unfortunately, but we did see a couple of people in the typical hat, as well as some cows and ... read more

We began our first Brazilian fishing trip by driving further into Central Brazil to a place called Lago Verde with a group of Embassy coworkers. With a quick stop at a roadside stand, we made the journey in about 3 and a half hours. Written by Ruben Simonsen We have finally arrived. Everyone is doing great, but we are also really tired. The 4 people i went with took first 1hour and 45 min flight to schweiz. Then around 12 hours to sao paolo, where we met the 5 others from our team and Marc (he is really cool btw), and his friend Leandro,(also cool) who showed us a bit around in sao paolo. After 11 hours we took the (luxury) bus to goiania. It took 15 hours, so we were kinda devastated when we finally arrived. We went to church shortly after our arrival, where we got to sing, and be prayed for. Allthough i did not understand much, i could really feel gods presence in the place, and we had a really great time. After that we picked ... read more
