Up much earlier on Friday than the previous day, we headed out to one of several vast parks near our apartment. Sadly, the Jardin Botanico was closed for some odd reason, but we still took in the greenery before stopping for lunch with Becky's coworker Dale and his wife & daughter.

From there, we hopped on a bus destined for Recoleta, one of the more upscale barrios in the city. We spent the next 2 hours exploring the Cemeterio de Recoleta, resting place of Buenos Aires' social elite. Many of the crypts were stunning, and the entire cemetery was a vast expanse of cobblestone walkways, marble statues, and granite mausoleums.

After that, we wandered southward to take in some of Recoleta's French style architecture before heading back home to nap and grab takeout empanadas for dinner. We then headed out to Plaza Serrano to sample the Palermo Viejo nightlife.
