100 Pipers
Spencer with a new bottle of whiskey - not a hell of a lot different than Old Smuggler to tell you the truth! The past couple of days/nights haven't been terribly exciting. Saturday I went to the one bar in town that shows American football to try to see the Ohio State - Michigan game. I went with Spencer, Ben and John. Spencer is from Seattle and did the study abroad thing in Ecuador last spring and has since been backpacking through the rest of South America. Ben and John are travelling for only a couple of weeks I think. John is in politics in Canada and Ben lives in New York maybe??? Anyway, we went to "Shoeless Joe's Remember the Alamo" bar. Random name, isn't it? Anyway, it was freakin packed with Americans. It really felt like we were at Chilis or something back home, except the feed for the game was from the Internet I think, so the quality sucked. It was really like watching utube from a dialup connection or something. Anyway, we left there after the first half and just came back to Palermo and chilled. I really don't think we did anything but watch Eraser on TV and drink Old Smuggler whiskey.
Sunday I walked around the parks in Palermo. Very, very nice. Most people escape to the parks
Spencer Me and Ben
Gotta love the 100 Pipers... on Sunday, so it's neat to just walk around and people watch. ESPN down here actually showed Sunday Night football, so we watched the Denver - San Diego game last night.
I had class again today with Matilde, and I seem to be catching on again. It's good to be studying since that's one of the main reasons I came here!

Really enjoy your entries to the blog. Noticed Spencer always seems to have that cap on - is that a neptune trident on the cap? And Old Smuggler - an Argentinian whiskey? Glad you're having fun and meeting interesting people. While updating this blog will probably become a pain in the coming weeks, sure hope you keep us up to date. Cooking turnips, turnip greens and corn bread tonight. Wish you were here - know you would enjoy it (maybe). Dad
