... we went to Kao Kab Kang for dinner on the strength of a recommendation from a girl from Vancouver Island who was also doing the cooking class, because she cited that the food was great, and that it was packed with locals when she went. So we were surprised to find the place completely packed with Germans! Nonetheless, the food was quite good, starting with sausage that looked to be more like bologna - but looks are deceiving, as it was very tasty, served with some veggies including some very mild onions, and what appeared to be baby celery ribs, all drizzled with a nice vinaigrette that was the epitome of Thai balance. Sweet, salty, sour, and spicy, all in perfect harmony. The watermelon shake was awesome as it usually is, but the papaya shake lacked flavour.
