Santa Catalina Monestary

This monastery was also built in the 1500's and still houses about 20 nuns who live a completely different lifestyle than those before the 'reformation'. it occupies about 5 acres of land, has 3 separate ' towns' or areas and streets connecting them all. our best tour.

It's hard to believe that we have only been in this beautiful country of Peru for only a week. It took us a long time to get here (boring details) but left Canada on April 4 and arrived in Arequipa on April 6.
