Just like Colombia, Medellin has a lot of history...unfortunately a lot of it bad. At one point it was named the most dangerous place in the world. A stigma very hard to shake. Despite its history (again, just like Colombia) however, the people here are some of the most positive and friendliest people we've ever met. Really like this photo
This was a cool photo! I have a question for you. We have been thinking of going to Colombia but wonder a bit about the safety situation. Is there many parts of the country that are unsafe to visit?/Ake

Thank you. Go Go Go is our answer to your question about Colombia. Colombia is very safe. We were there for 2 months and never had any trouble. There are areas that maybe deemed unsafe but tourists would never generally go there anyway. People are very friendly there. Big cities are the same all over the world, use the same caution as you would in London, Paris or New York etc.
