Just like Colombia, Medellin has a lot of history...unfortunately a lot of it bad. At one point it was named the most dangerous place in the world. A stigma very hard to shake. Hi we're Chris and P. We have quit our jobs and sold our house to follow our dream of travelling around the world for 12 months!!! Thank you. Go Go Go is our answer to your question about Colombia. Colombia is very safe. We were there for 2 months and never had any trouble. There are areas that maybe deemed unsafe but tourists would never generally go there anyway. People are very friendly there. Big cities are the same all over the world, use the same caution as you would in London, Paris or New York etc.
