Just like Colombia, Medellin has a lot of history...unfortunately a lot of it bad. At one point it was named the most dangerous place in the world. A stigma very hard to shake. Despite its history (again, just like Colombia) however, the people here are some of the most positive and friendliest people we've ever met. Columbia
You've really spent a good amount of time in Columbia and have gotten a rhythm to your travel. Sorry they backed out on Christmas dinner. I can't believe they did that at the last minute. The people sound wonderful and we are eager to go.

We really did fall in love with Colombia, longest time in any country since we began our trip in Feb 2015. It was worth slowing down for. Yes christmas dinner plans were a bit of a shambles but we still enjoyed our day and the tasty meal we managed to knock up.
