Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Utah
May 14th 2014 On my way home today after 21 days in Utah. I figured I could cram one more visit in. I decided to see the sand dunes near Kanab. The park has about 7 miles of dunes due to its unique location and the funneling of the Navajo sandstone given the winds in the area. Once the wind velocity decreases the sand is deposited.
