We were probably the only people who had jet lag from Hong Kong to Phuket! It was only a three-hour flight, but it departed Hong Kong at midnight, so by the time we arrived at the hotel it was 4.30 in the morning! I moved to Hong Kong in August 2007 with the intention of staying for 9 months...until I left eight and a half years later....I finally made a move from HK and spent 2016 in Sydney, Australia. 2017 has included Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Peru, Ireland and Sweden. My favourite adventure: I went travelling in Asia and Europe for six months, taking the Trans-Siberian railway back to England. We managed to get from Thailand to London with no airplanes!
