A storm is blowing in

Our first realization of the passing tropical depression occurred as we tilted and swayed while touching down on Chuuk, a small island before our Pohnpei stop. We landed with a hard bump, fast reverse thrusters, and the greetings of fire trucks, lights flashing, as we passed. This is part of the vulnerability that islanders are well aware of.

A toast to where, what, who??? To Pohnpei, a small island located about 7 degrees north of the equator on the far east side of the Micronesian Islands in the southern Pacific ocean.
