This guy could do anything it seemed. Pilot a boat with two motors at the same time, contort himself into difficult positions to take photographs of us, speak knowledgeably about the island and its history and inhabitants, teach how to crack a coconut, somersault and glide off waterfalls, muscle kayaks and boats to make it easy for us, hold his breath for way too long to snorkle deep below us, drive a truck over steep, rugged, and winding roads without dumping Matt and I over the narrow sides as we sat in the open bed behind, and generally just show us a good time.

A toast to where, what, who??? To Pohnpei, a small island located about 7 degrees north of the equator on the far east side of the Micronesian Islands in the southern Pacific ocean.
