Tuna tanker

One of several tuna boats anchored at the reefs edge. At night their lights could be seen in the distance. Their broad casted nets catch all types, sizes, and ages of fishes, most of which will be discarded dead. Many nights we were unable to order local reef fish at our little Village because there was no fish left for the local fishermen in this region where it is most abundant in the world. Ironic.

A toast to where, what, who??? To Pohnpei, a small island located about 7 degrees north of the equator on the far east side of the Micronesian Islands in the southern Pacific ocean.
