Göreme Open Air Museum

The first stop was the Göreme Open Air Museum, which is a protected area filled with hundreds of caves. Most were carved to be churches and others were living quarters, including a nunnery.

Now I know why everybody raves about Cappadocia, or Kapadokya, if you like the Turkish way of spelling everything phonetically. It really is a beautiful and very unique place.
