Why We Go to Salzburg

There once was a tiny little food stand, no more than just a little window, on the Getreidegasse that created one of the most endearing and memorable smells in all of Europe. The smell of Bosna sausage, raw onions, mustard and curry powder permeated the whole shopping district. I think these were the first sausages our kids actually liked and we would get them every time we visited. Over the years the stand relocated and was even harder to find. While the ladies shopped in one of the many souvenir shops open that day, I set off in search of my favorite Salzburg souvenir. Like almost every other business in town the Bosna stand was closed on Sunday. But down another side street we spotted a new competitor providing a slightly different version. Beggars can't be chosey. All four of us got one and there were no regrets.

It was another night of hacking and wheezing on my part. I'm fine all day but as soon as I lay down I start coughing. It must be the down or feathers in the comforters.
