Another part of the National Library

After we gulped down our iced teas we briefly walked through an alley full of fake designer clothes, purses and watches as well as piles of what was probably stolen goods. By now we were all a little sick of the fake merchandise so there were no takers among our merry band. We then decided to try to return to the Plaka district where we had briefly shopped the night before. Traveling without a map and no real knowledge of the geography of Athens I led us all over the high-priced shopping district. We saw a number of nice shops none of us could afford and far too many delicious smelling restaurants. But after our big lunch even I wasn't quite ready to chow down again. We asked for directions a couple times and even found a map, but we kept getting lost. Eventually we found the farmers' market area which the map showed as being adjacent to the Plaka.
Day Thirteen (Thursday)

July 6th 2006
The last day of the land portion of this tour. I slept pretty well after our busy busy day. We actually got to sleep in a bit today. Breakfast was in a large room in the hotel.
