A view from the top

This is the view from the lower level of the monastery looking down at Kalambaka. As you can see, it was an absolutely perfect day with a nice breeze blowing on top of this rock column. Before we entered into the monastery a monk made sure each girl was properly attired before letting them inside. Part of the reason we had gone to our hotel first was so that the ladies could put on clothing that covered their shoulders and reached to their knees. Just in case our women didn't meet the dress code, the monk/guard provided the "scantily clad" with wrap-around skirts and shawls.
