A bargain belt followed by highway robbery! September 24th 2010 Day 1 Friday 24th September 2010
Arrived in Istanbul very late on Friday night. It was very humid when we arrived in Turkey and quite warm. In Istanbul I bought a leather belt for 84p, good value, then was ripped off by a taxi driver who charged us £15 for a fare that should have been £6!

I have ridden Lands End John O Groats, C2C, the Three Towers (Blackpool - London -Paris Blackpool), European section of North Sea Cycle Route (Rotterdam to Bergen), several sportives and trips to Spain and the Alps, Slovenia, Turkey, Japan, Kerala and Tamil Nadu (India), Vietnam, China, Australia, including Tasmania and New Zealand.
This was followed by a trip to South Island New Zealand for three weeks in Jan/Feb 09 and one week in Geelong, OZ, to see my son.
