Thirsk Town Market Square

In the Three Tuns we had looked at some old photographs from the late 1800's and it was amazing to see how little the center of town had changed in 100+ years. In nicer weather this area is full of merchant stalls on market day. The day we left town there were a few vendors doing business, but in the summer it looks like a county fair.
Day Eight - Heading South of the Border

Another day with an early start. This would be the longest drive of the trip so far and we needed to make a number of stops along the way yet still arrive at our destination before the New Year's revelers got out in full force.
