The tunnel had three levels that went down almost thirty meters. There was an operating room, school room, meeting room, kitchen, bathroom, well room and many family rooms cut out of the clay along the passage ways.
Bang Ha, Vietnam DMZ Zone April 16th 2009 This part of the trip was a little depressing but if I did not see the Vinh Moc tunnels myself I would never have believed that some 300 people lived in them for years. We walked in an area where hamburger hill was said to be but no one seems to be able to locate its precise location. Elsie and I are going on the biggest trip of our lives, so far at least, to explore Indochina. We have always had a fascination for travel but so many other things have always taken front stage to this until now. So here we go. Wish us luck, cause were taking it day by day. Yup that's right no plans whatsoever. No itinerary no nothin, just our backpacks.
