This part of the trip was a little depressing but if I did not see the Vinh Moc tunnels myself I would never have believed that some 300 people lived in them for years. We walked in an area where hamburger hill was said to be but no one seems to be able to locate its precise location. There is very little left in the way of armorment laying around as it has all been scrounged up for use or sale.

The tunnel had three levels that went down almost thirty meters. There was an operating room, school room, meeting room, kitchen, bathroom, well room and many family rooms cut out of the clay along the passage ways.

Dave screamed like a girl when one of these bugs touched his arm. I wasn't much better I couldn't stop slapping and wiggling throughout the rest of the visit in the tunnel

The entrance has been shored up and exposed, but at one time it was covered in jungle

You could still see bullets lodged in the cement.
