Hanoi with its sea of people
Here is Mars when it is finally populated by humans....ha ha The first place we landed in Vietnam was Hanoi and it might as well have been Mars. Dave kept saying get me out of here. I wanted to spend at least one day before we headed to the outer parts. We stayed in the old quarter or ancient part of town which is the dirtiest but deffiently has some really weird sights. It is conjested and is really hard to even walk on the side walk because it is covered in vendors,gambling, bars, motorbikes, and pretty much anything else you can think of. It really has your senses pumping and part of the challenge is just making it down the street without getting hit by some sort of vehicle of transportation. We had to cross one of the four lane roads outside the quater to get to a bank one day and Dave got a good jump on the traffic , I hesitated and ended up on the first road line on my tip toes sucking in my butt to avoid the traffic in back and pulling in my gut to avoid the other traffic.
