A house in Salamanca

This house was built as a wedding present. It has shells on the outside, when symbolize love because Venus (goddess of love) was born from a shell. I thought this building was pretty cool.
Excursion to Extremadura

October 5th 2008
I just got back from Extremadura!! The weekend was very busy. The group left at 8am (VERY EARLY for me!) and we took a bus to Salamanca, which is a major university city in Spain. The hotel was really nice, all of the rooms had computers (although ours didn't work), and was right on the Plaza Mayor, which is the center of the city.
