Main Street

This road led to the doorway from the city leading to Tangier. The opposite way when through the Arch de Triomphe and led to the costal city of Chellah, where Rabat is now. Along the street are shops, each protected beind the arches which provided a covered walkway along the shop fronts. These shops also had sliding overhead doors. Basically, it's a lot like most Moroccan medina shoping areas, except that the road is straight.

It was hard leaving Rebecca and Maryam, but it was time to hit the road.
