We drove all day today (7+ hrs, 400+ milles) to San Antonio, visited the Alamo, walked the river walk, drank Margaritas in a crazy bar called "Ibiza" (there's a San Antonio joke going on there!) and bought an oversized sombrero for David the Mexican (one the the guys on the tour who is neither Mexican nor called David). We started this travel blog in 2005 when we set off on a ten-month around-the-world trip with a couple of backpacks and not much else. In 2008, we emigrated to New Zealand with four suitcases and a guitar and spent the first month travelling throughout the country, from Auckland to Christchurch, via a roundabout route.
