Charles Naegelin House, 1872

A Pioneer Castroville Home, it was built by one of its colonists. Started in 1872 and finished in 1874, just before he died. His son and daughter-in-law lived in the home. The house has 10-foot-high ceilings and floors of red long leaf pine. It has been restored and furnished in period antiques.

We spent a night in Stockton, TX on our way to San Antonio, TX. We glamped at Alsatian RV Resort in Castroville. We learned about a self-guided walking tour of the town from our RV neighbor.
