Three Bridges at Régua,

Three bridges cross the Douro at Peso da Régua. Ponte Metálica, built in 1871, now a pedestrian bridge. Ponte Rodoviária da Régua, a concrete highway bridge originally built in 1934 as a railway bridge Ponte Miguel Torga, built in 1997, carries Autoestrada A24 on a high flyover. DSC_0503

I would be remiss if I did not include a blog entry about Peso da Régua. Régua, with a population of some 17,100 is the largest of the riverside towns and the gateway to the Douro wine region.
