The figure of an astronaut was added to the Portada da Ramos in 1993 during the restoration of the North Portal. (It has a been a tradition to add a contemporary element with each restoration.) DSC_0199

An all-day coach trip to Salamanca was the agenda for today. From Barca d'Alba we crossed the Águeda river, a Douro tributary, to enter Spain.
