Dunluce Castle

Our guide book rates castle one star. On occasion we disagree, so knowing the location, we researched a bit deeper. The castle is in ruins, yet no more than many two star Abbeys. And look at the location! That makes the scene. A tad of history as to the reason it was abandoned. Seems on a stormy night in 1639 half the kitchen fell off the cliff carrying the kitchen servants with it. The next day the Countess of Antrim packed up and left. But can you imagine the castle in it's prime at this location? And it was a very extravagant residence.
Final Days

Winding down to exiting temps in the 60's including a fair amount of rain for those in the 90's. Not sure which we prefer at this point.
