Pamir Ceiling Work Around The Window on The Roof
The four elements of nature- air, water, fire, and earth are represented within the four leveled-rectangle frame of the central window. The closest element to the window is fire as it comes closest to the sun. Next is air, and then comes water and finally earth. Through these elements, the light coming into the house and air or thoughts getting out of the house should have been purified. The frames are ornately carved with symbols and verses from Quran. There are 5 pillars to hold the building up.
