The crowds is not a big problem actually
Too bad you couldn't visit the Forbidden City. It is quite an experience actually. Don't worry about there being many visitors. It actually doesn't get crowded. The place is huge and most visitors come on tours. They walk in groups and don't take up much space as they move along. Hope you have a chance to come back some other time and see it. /Ake
