Qhapaq Nan

Qhapaq Nan is the system of roads, or Inca trails, that stretched from Ecuador down to central Chile. The long paragraph that's indented is a quotation from the writings of Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa, who wrote the most detailed narration of the legend of the Ayar brothers. Mauk'allaqta, also spelled several different ways, is a very well preserved and also recently uncovered and restored area.
