Mitre Peak
Mitre Peak is the mountain at the centre of the picture. Just in case you didn't know. Today we went to Milford Sound. Milford Sound has been globally recognised as one of the wonders of the natural world for its outstanding beauty. The coach journey there is 5 hours long but the bus driver gave us running commentary on absolutely everything. When we arrived we got on a boat and sailed around the 'fiord' (sorry, but I don't know what a fiord is, but I think it is something like a lake that is connected to the sea). On that boat ride we saw some of the most beautiful sights (our mum tells us) in the world. It was quite cool because there were cute seals and penguins and the stuff we saw looked pretty nice. The Boat journey took two hours but it felt like about ten minutes (unlike the drive, which felt like seven hours). After that we were going to take the bus back to Queenstown but, because the day was a completely perfect day, we decided to take a small plane on a ‘scenic flight’. And it was scenic. We saw the whole of the Southern Alps and loads of lakes and rivers in an awesome 40 minute flight. When we were back in
Waterfall
This is the tallest waterfall we have seen on this holiday. There aren't many waterfalls in Japan. Queenstown we hired our ski gear and then went to FergBurger. Don’t be put off by the weird name, because it is actually the restaurant that makes the best burgers in the world (Everyone we met who had a fergburger agreed). Overall, a very good day. Harry and Thomas.
