a beautiful evening on Porirua Inlet.
Hi, I,ve had an interesting couple of weeks with a few fishing trips, a visit to the Hawkes Bay to see the kids, walking and biking, and just enjoying the last days of summer. Day light saving finishes this week so the evening drinks on the deck may not be as often. There have been some magic evenings with little or no wind. Bill and I have had a few trips to the Ruamahunga River in the Waiarapa. Bill has caught his first trout, a rainbow, and followed it up with a brown. A couple of small rainbow as well. Thats it for him. He is lost. Now he has experienced this wonderful world of fly fishing where you manage to put the fly in the vicinity of a trout, you see or feel the take, and then feel the power of the trout, play it successfully, and end up with it in you hands, the buzz is fantastic. Add to that the magic settings you can find yourself in, fresh air etc, and, yes, he will want to spend more time in more places to pursue bigger fish and more experiences. I must admit that I probably got as much

of a buzz as Bill got with his first fish. Di and I went to the Bay to see the kids and had a great time going to a gala at Holly's school, with face painting and tattoo's, shopping and getting to know the new kitten, Daisy. Very cute and Holly and Ella adore her. Di, as usual, has been busy with work, but now has only a few weeks left until retirement, then our trip. Can't wait to see Chris, Hege and the girls in Spain. Caught up with Martin and Viv and we are hoping that we may catch up with them in Fethiye, as they will be sailing the coast of Turkey about the same time. I think that I may miss being on Therapy this year, so it would be good to at least see them and step aboard. Hope to catch up with some of you before we go away. Pip/Rod
